Stage 2 Digital Photography

Eric Ries once wrote: "A pivot is a change in strategy, without a change in vision."

And in this course, you will do just that. Based on theory as well as practical learning, this workshop is designed to shift you from shooting in semi-manual modes to full manual mode, allowing you to have more control over your camera and creativity.

By the end of this course, you will have the foundation needed to delve into the advanced genres of photography such as portraiture, street photography, family, food, and wedding photography.

  • Shooting in full manual mode
  • HDR (High Dynamic Range)
  • Panning, light painting, metering
  • Flash, histograms, long exposures
  • Advanced composition techniques

What should I expect?

How long is it?

This workshop is 16 hours in total.  This can be broken up into 2x 8hour days or 4x 4 hour days.

Do we get hands on?

While this will contain a quick refresher from the Stage 1 workshop as well as a lot of theory, 80% of this workshop will be hands on, with demos, individual and group exercises

What if we get hungry?

Should the workshop be over 2 hour days, coffee in the morning will be provided as well as lunch

What about afterwards?

Once this workshop is done, you will then have access to advanced level studio workshops as well as a mentorship program where you will receive guidance for 3 months following the workshop.

What should I bring with me?

  • A DSLR or Mirrorless Camera
  • Whatever lens you have (zoom lens or prime)
  • A tripod (if you have one)
  • Memory Cards
  • A notebook & pen (should you wish to take notes)
  • A cleaning kit (if you have one)
  • Pictures you wish to share with the class
